Welcome to Positivity Pulse. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy informs you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our application and tells you about your privacy rights.
2. The Data We Collect About You
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:
- Identity Data — first name, last name, username.
- Contact Data — email address.
- Content Data — any "Wins", journal entries, or comments you voluntarily post.
- Location Data — approximate location (City/Country) collected only when you explicitly grant GPS permission while posting a community win. If denied, no location is stored. Location is not collected at any other time.
- Health/Mood Data — mood check-ins and breathing exercise usage, stored locally and optionally synced to your account.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To register you as a new user.
- To allow you to participate in interactive features (posting Wins, commenting, reacting).
- To send you important notifications and updates regarding your account.
- To personalise your news feed and content recommendations.
4. Data Security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered, or disclosed. All API communications are encrypted via HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcryptjs and never stored in plain text.
5. AI Processing
Public community posts are processed by a self-hosted AI model (Ollama) for content moderation before publication. News articles are classified by Groq Cloud. No personally identifiable information is sent to third-party AI services.
6. Your Legal Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, erasure (Right to be Forgotten), restriction, transfer, to object to processing, and to port data. We are fully compliant with GDPR and CCPA standards.
